Founded in 1988, the Research Division for Rural Industrial Economics is preceded by the Research Division for Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries merged by the three respective research divisions. It underpins the Research Center for National Dairy Industry and Technology System. Since 2011, it has undertaken 28 projects and delivered more than 90 publications, including 10 monographs, 30 core journal papers and 15 policy proposals.
Research area: rural industrial economics.
Research directions: national food security, rural industrial structure and industrial layout, rural industrial organizations, rural industrial polices, and forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries.
